Part 2 established who Allah is — self-sufficient, without equal. Tawhid (توحيد) is the word for that oneness itself, and it breaks down into two things that matter most in daily life.

He alone creates and sustains everything.

Imagine, for a moment, that more than one being had real power over the universe. Two ultimate authorities, each capable of independent decisions, would inevitably disagree eventually — and the moment they did, something would have to give. The Quran makes exactly this argument:

The fact that the universe holds together — consistent physical laws, no competing wills tearing it apart — is itself evidence there's only one will behind it. Everything you rely on without a second thought (the sun rising, gravity holding, rain falling) all traces back to one source, not many:

He alone deserves worship — no go-between required.

If Allah alone creates and sustains, it follows that He alone deserves to be worshipped — not a statue, not a saint, not a deceased ancestor, not a go-between of any kind. Every prayer said in the Quran's own opening chapter says this directly:

This isn't a rule imposed from outside — it's the entire point of being created in the first place:

And because Allah is never distant or unreachable (nothing "gets in the way" of Him hearing you), no intermediary was ever needed — you can speak to Him directly, right now, without going through anyone or anything else.

So what does this actually change?

If one Creator sustains everything and alone deserves worship, then every act of worship — prayer, gratitude, asking for help — has exactly one correct destination. Not many. Not "whichever feels right." One. That clarity is what Tawhid actually gives you: nothing to negotiate between, no rival claims on your devotion, just a single, straight relationship with the One who made you.
