The Creed

There was no prophet among the prophets except that he was given miracles through which people believed in him The keys of the unseen are five Whoever performs our prayer, faces our Qiblah (direction of the Ka‘bah), and eats from our slaughtered animals—that is the Muslim who enjoys the protection (covenant) of Allah and His Messenger. So do not betray Allah by violating His protection No Muslim is afflicted with a calamity and then says what Allah has commanded: {We belong to Allah, and to Him we will return} [Surat al-Baqarah: 156], O Allah, reward me in my calamity and replace it for me with something better, except that Allah replaces it for him with something better O Bilāl, tell me of the most rewarding deed you have done in Islam At the end of time, there will come a people, young in age and foolish in mind. They will speak about the best words of creation, but they will pass through Islam as an arrow passes through its target Verily, Allah is pleased with three things for you and is displeased with three things for you "I am not weeping because I do not know that what Allah holds is better for the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him), but I weep because the revelation from the sky has stopped." Her words moved them to tears and they began to weep along with her What makes you not visit us more than you do? From among your caliphs there will be a caliph, at the end of times, who will distribute money without counting it O Commander of the Believers! Allah said to His Prophet: {Show forgiveness, enjoin what is good, and turn away from the ignorants} [Al-A‘rāf: 199]. Indeed, this one is from the ignorants Some people came to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "Send with us some men to teach us the Qur'an and the Sunnah." So he sent to them seventy men from the Ansār who were called "the reciters"; among them was my maternal uncle Harām We set out with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) on one of his travels, and on the way the provisions became very scarce I do not think that so-and-so and so-and-so know anything about our religion If I lived until I finished eating these dates of mine, it would be a long life indeed. So he threw away the dates he had then fought them until he was killed Allah, the Exalted, sent down the Divine Revelation to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) abundantly during the period preceding his death until he died at a time when the revelation had never been more abundant The Messenger of Allah dispatched a secret troop of ten men under the leadership of ‘Āsim ibn Thābit al-Ansāri The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) called for water, and he was brought a wide shallow vessel with some water in it. He put his fingers in it ‘Umar ibn al-Khattāb (may Allah be pleased with him) allocated a sum of four thousand dirhams for each of the early Muhājirūn While Ayyūb (peace be upon him) was taking a bath, naked, golden locusts began to fall upon him
