The Creed

I advise you to fear Allah and to hear and obey, even if an Abyssinian slave. You will see after me great discord. So, hold fast to my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly guided Caliphs What stands between a man and polytheism and disbelief is the abandonment of the prayers The covenant between us and them is prayer; so, whoever abandons it has disbelieved Indeed, Allah Almighty forbids you to swear by your forefathers The first cases to be settled among people on the Day of Judgement will be the cases of blood (homicide) They are being tormented, but they are not tormented for a major sin. One of them would not save himself from being soiled with his urine, while the other used to walk about spreading malicious gossip A man asked the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him): "When is the Hour?" He said: "What have you prepared for it? Shall I tell you something about the Anti-Christ that no prophet has ever told his people? Verily, he is one-eyed and will bring with him something like Paradise and Hellfire A man follows the religion (i.e. ways and manners) of his close friend. So, each of you should carefully consider whom he takes as his intimate friend Hasten to deeds before being overtaken by tribulations that are like patches of the darkest night; There is no god but Allah. Woe to the Arabs from an impending evil. Today, an opening has been made in the wall of Gog and Magog, like this, The believer, man or woman, will continue to be tested concerning his or her self, children, and property until they meet Allah without any sins in their record Allah's statement: {So do not attribute to Allah equals while you know} [Sūrat al-Baqarah: 22]. Ibn ‘Abbās commented: Equals are polytheism. It is subtler than the crawling of a small black ant on a black stone in the darkness of the night Do not say: What Allah wills and what so-and-so wills; rather say: What Allah wills then what so-and-so wills To swear by Allah even if I were telling a lie is dearer to me than to swear by other than Him even if I were telling the truth Verily, you will follow those before you, span by span and cubit by cubit Whoever calls to guidance shall receive a reward similar to the rewards obtained by those who followed him without diminishing anything from their rewards What is the reason for those people's fear? They willingly accept what is precise thereof, and react ruinously when it comes to what is broadly indicative Tiyarah (belief in evil omens) is Shirk (polytheism). Tiyarah is Shirk. Tiyarah is Shirk - three times." Every one of us experiences something of that, but Allah Almighty dispels it with reliance on Him We said: You are our master. He said: "The Master is Allah." We said: And the best of us in superiority and the greatest among us in bounty. He said: "Say what you have to say, or part of what you have to say, but do not let the devil deviate you (in praising me)
