Narrated by Al-Bukhāri in Al-Adab Al-Mufrad, Abu Ya‘la, and Al-Bayhaqi
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «تَهَادَوا تَحَابُّوا».
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Give gifts to one another; you will love one another."
Explanation
The Prophet (ﷺ) encouraged Muslims to exchange gifts with one another, for gifts are among the causes of love and bringing hearts together.
