بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

وَٱلْعَصْرِ
wal-ʿaṣri
By the time
2
إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ لَفِى خُسْرٍ
inna l-insāna lafī khus'rin
Indeed mankind (is) surely, in loss
3
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلصَّبْرِ
illā alladhīna āmanū waʿamilū l-ṣāliḥāti watawāṣaw bil-ḥaqi watawāṣaw bil-ṣabri
Except those who believe and do righteous deeds and enjoin (each other) to the truth and enjoin (each other) to [the] patience
