40 Rabbana
Al-Baqarah — The CowAl-Baqarah
The Cow
💜 2:127
وَإِذْ يَرْفَعُ إِبْرَٰهِـۧمُ ٱلْقَوَاعِدَ مِنَ ٱلْبَيْتِ وَإِسْمَـٰعِيلُ رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّآ ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
wa-idh yarfaʿu ib'rāhīmu l-qawāʿida mina l-bayti wa-is'māʿīlu rabbanā taqabbal minnā innaka anta l-samīʿu l-ʿalīmu
And when (was) raising Ibrahim the foundations of the House and Ishmael (saying), "Our Lord Accept from us Indeed You [You] (are) the All-Hearing the All-Knowing
💜 2:128
رَبَّنَا وَٱجْعَلْنَا مُسْلِمَيْنِ لَكَ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِنَآ أُمَّةً مُّسْلِمَةً لَّكَ وَأَرِنَا مَنَاسِكَنَا وَتُبْ عَلَيْنَآ ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلتَّوَّابُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
rabbanā wa-ij'ʿalnā mus'limayni laka wamin dhurriyyatinā ummatan mus'limatan laka wa-arinā manāsikanā watub ʿalaynā innaka anta l-tawābu l-raḥīmu
Our Lord [and] Make us both submissive to You And from our offspring a community submissive to You And show us our ways of worship and turn to us Indeed You [You] (are) the Oft-returning the Most Merciful
💜 2:201
وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَقُولُ رَبَّنَآ ءَاتِنَا فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ
wamin'hum man yaqūlu rabbanā ātinā fī l-dun'yā ḥasanatan wafī l-ākhirati ḥasanatan waqinā ʿadhāba l-nāri
And from those who say Our Lord Grant us in the world good and in the Hereafter good and save us (from the) punishment (of) the Fire
💜 2:250
وَلَمَّا بَرَزُوا۟ لِجَالُوتَ وَجُنُودِهِۦ قَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَآ أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَٱنصُرْنَا عَلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
walammā barazū lijālūta wajunūdihi qālū rabbanā afrigh ʿalaynā ṣabran wathabbit aqdāmanā wa-unṣur'nā ʿalā l-qawmi l-kāfirīna
And when they went forth to (face) Jalut and his troops they said Our Lord Pour on us patience and make firm our feet and help us against the people (who are) disbelieving
💜 2:285
ءَامَنَ ٱلرَّسُولُ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مِن رَّبِّهِۦ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ ۚ كُلٌّ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَمَلَـٰٓئِكَتِهِۦ وَكُتُبِهِۦ وَرُسُلِهِۦ لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِّن رُّسُلِهِۦ ۚ وَقَالُوا۟ سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا ۖ غُفْرَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَإِلَيْكَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ
āmana l-rasūlu bimā unzila ilayhi min rabbihi wal-mu'minūna kullun āmana bil-lahi wamalāikatihi wakutubihi warusulihi lā nufarriqu bayna aḥadin min rusulihi waqālū samiʿ'nā wa-aṭaʿnā ghuf'rānaka rabbanā wa-ilayka l-maṣīru
Believed the Messenger in what was revealed to him from his Lord and the believers All believed in Allah and His Angels and His Books and His Messengers Not we make distinction between any of His messengers And they said We heard and we obeyed (Grant) us Your forgiveness our Lord and to You (is) the return
💜 2:286
لَا يُكَلِّفُ ٱللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا ۚ لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَعَلَيْهَا مَا ٱكْتَسَبَتْ ۗ رَبَّنَا لَا تُؤَاخِذْنَآ إِن نَّسِينَآ أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَآ إِصْرًا كَمَا حَمَلْتَهُۥ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِۦ ۖ وَٱعْفُ عَنَّا وَٱغْفِرْ لَنَا وَٱرْحَمْنَآ ۚ أَنتَ مَوْلَىٰنَا فَٱنصُرْنَا عَلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
lā yukallifu l-lahu nafsan illā wus'ʿahā lahā mā kasabat waʿalayhā mā ik'tasabat rabbanā lā tuākhidh'nā in nasīnā aw akhṭanā rabbanā walā taḥmil ʿalaynā iṣ'ran kamā ḥamaltahu ʿalā alladhīna min qablinā rabbanā walā tuḥammil'nā mā lā ṭāqata lanā bihi wa-uʿ'fu ʿannā wa-igh'fir lanā wa-ir'ḥamnā anta mawlānā fa-unṣur'nā ʿalā l-qawmi l-kāfirīna
(Does) not burden Allah any soul except its capacity for it what it earned and against it what it earned Our Lord (Do) not take us to task if we forget or we err Our Lord And (do) not lay upon us a burden like that (which) You laid [it] on those who (were) from before us Our Lord [And] (do) not lay on us what not (the) strength we have [of it] (to bear) And pardon [from] us and forgive [for] us and have mercy on us You (are) our Protector so help us against the people [the] disbelievers
