The Creed

If you get news of the outbreak of a plague in a land, do not enter it, and if it breaks out in a land in which you are, do not leave it Have glad tidings with two lights that have been given to you, which no prophet before you has been given: Surat al-Fātihah and the concluding verses of Surat al-Baqarah. You will not read one letter of them except that you will be given it Indeed you possess two traits that Allah loves: prudence and deliberation All rights will be restored on the Day of Judgment, until even the hornless sheep will settle its score with the horned one ‘Umar ibn al-Khattāb (may Allah be pleased with him) wrote: Kill every sorcerer and sorceress While a man was reciting Sūrat al-Kahf, with his horse tied with two ropes beside him O people, do not trouble yourselves too much. He Whom you are calling is not deaf or absent. Verily, He is with you, He is All-Hearing and Ever Near You have been endowed with one of the melodious voices of the family of Dawūd When Allah wants to punish a people, the punishment befalls whoever is among them, then they will be resurrected according to their deeds O Allah, I ask You to help me do good deeds and abstain from evil ones, to grant me the love of the poor and needy, and to forgive me and have mercy on me. And if it is Your Will that you put some people to trial (regarding their faith), then make me die without being put to that trial. I ask You to grant me Your Love, the love of those who love You, and the love of deeds that bring me closer to Your Love When Allah fashioned Adam in Paradise, He left him as long as He desired to leave him. Satan started to go round Adam looking at him. Once he saw that Adam had a hollow body, he realized that he was a weak creature The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessing be upon him) mentioned the Anti-Christ one morning, (sometimes describing him) to be insignificant and at other times important, till we thought that he might be amidst a cluster of date-palms Indeed, when Allah loves a slave, He calls Jibrīl (Gabriel) and says: I love so-and-so, so love him. So, Gabriel loves him If the slave draws closer to Me by a hand-span, I shall draw closer to him by a cubit; and if he draws closer to Me by a cubit, I shall draw closer to him by the span of two outstretched arms. If he comes to Me walking, I shall come to him running When we enter upon our rulers, we say to them things contrary to what we say when we leave them. He said: We used to consider this hypocrisy during the Prophet's lifetime Anyone loves to meet Allah, Allah loves to meet him; and anyone dislikes to meet Allah, Allah dislikes to meet him Oxus, Jaxartes, Euphrates, and the Nile are all from the rivers of Paradise Indeed, Allah is the One who fixes prices, the Withholder, the Extender, and the Provider. Indeed, I wish to meet Allah while none of you will have any claim against me for an injustice regarding blood or property Verily, Allah, Glorified and Exalted, is characterized by modesty and concealment, and He loves modesty and concealment. Therefore, when any of you bathes, let him conceal himself Allah said: If My slave draws close to Me by a hand-span, I shall draw close to him by a cubit, and if he draws close to Me by a cubit, I shall draw close to him by an outstretched arm span, and if he draws close to Me by an outstretched arm span, I shall hasten towards him
