Virtues and Manners

The one who is riding should greet the one walking, the one who is walking should greet the one sitting, and the small group of people should greet the large one Allah divided mercy into one hundred parts. He retained with Him ninety-nine parts and sent down to earth one part. Because of this one part, creatures show mercy towards each other, so much so that an animal lifts its hoof away from its youngster lest it should hurt it Righteousness is good morals, and sinfulness is what your heart is not at ease with, and you hate that people know about it Allah is happier with the repentance of His slave than one of you is with finding his riding camel after having lost it in a desert Allah, Blessed and Exalted, accepts the slave's repentance as long as the death rattle has not yet reached his throat O people, indeed, Allah is good and does not accept except what is good. Indeed, Allah has commanded the believers with what he commanded the messengers Verily, Allah Almighty extends His Hand during the night so the sinner of the day may repent, and He extends His Hand during the day so the sinner of the night may repent until the sun rises from its west A man asked the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) about fasting while traveling. He answered: If you wish then fast, and if you wish then do not fast Verily, some of what reached people from the speech of the early prophets: If you feel no shame, then do whatever you wish Be in this world as if you are a stranger or a wayfarer Keep your tongue moist with the remembrance of Allah None of you believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself Whoever repents before the sun rises from the west, Allah will accept his repentance By Allah! I ask Allah for forgiveness and repent to Him more than seventy times a day Shall I not inform of whom Hellfire is forbidden for? Or he is forbidden for Hellfire? It is forbidden for someone who is accessible, lenient, tender, and easy to get along with The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) never found fault with any food. If he liked it, he would eat; and if he disliked it, he would leave it Injustice will be excessive darkness on the Day of Judgment Reviling a Muslim is Fusūq (deobedience) and fighting him is Kufr (disbelief) Anyone pledges allegiance to a ruler, giving him the grasp of his hand and sincerity of his heart, he should obey him to the best of his capacity. If another man comes forward disputing his authority, then you should behead the latter Do not initiate the greeting of peace to the Jews or Christians, and if you meet one of them on the way, force him to narrowest part thereof
